Phase two utilized these findings through consensus building to co-produce standards to support Experts by Experience involvement in mental health nursing education. Results: Three themes emerged in Phase one: enablers and barriers, practical and informational support, and emotional and appraisal support. These themes underpinned development of the standards, which reflect nine processes: induction and orientation, external supervision, supportive teamwork, preparation for teaching and assessing, “intervision,” mutual mentorship, pre- and post-debriefing, role clarity and equitable payment. Conclusions: These standards form the framework entitled; Standards for Co-production of Education (Mental Health Nursing) (SCo-PE [MHN]). Implications for Practice: The standards aim to support implementation of Expert by Experience roles in mental health nursing education.]]> Mon 23 Jan 2023 10:09:25 AEDT ]]> Creating or taking opportunity: Strategies for implementing expert by experience positions in mental health academia /manager/Repository/uon:50882 Mon 14 Aug 2023 15:51:34 AEST ]]> 'There's just no flexibility': How space and time impact mental health consumer research /manager/Repository/uon:48277 Mon 13 Mar 2023 19:12:42 AEDT ]]> 'They can't empower us': The role of allies in the consumer movement /manager/Repository/uon:48271 Mon 13 Mar 2023 18:44:37 AEDT ]]> Changing ‘the world for the better’: motivations of mental health academics for supporting expert by experience roles in mental health education /manager/Repository/uon:51566 Mon 11 Sep 2023 14:22:42 AEST ]]> Mental health consumers' perspectives of physical health interventions: An integrative review /manager/Repository/uon:50756 Mon 07 Aug 2023 15:25:01 AEST ]]> Prevalence of chronic health conditions in Australian adults with depression and/or anxiety /manager/Repository/uon:46878 Mon 05 Dec 2022 12:35:32 AEDT ]]> “But I’m not going to be a mental health nurse”: nursing students’ perceptions of the influence of experts by experience on their attitudes to mental health nursing /manager/Repository/uon:46865 Mon 05 Dec 2022 12:28:29 AEDT ]]> Implementation of a mental health consumer academic position: benefits and challenges /manager/Repository/uon:36052 Mon 03 Feb 2020 10:21:09 AEDT ]]> Changing attitudes: the impact of expert by experience involvement in mental health nursing education: an international survey study /manager/Repository/uon:35802 Mon 02 Dec 2019 15:00:09 AEDT ]]> 'There's more to a person than what's in front of you': nursing students' experiences of consumer taught mental health education /manager/Repository/uon:36532 Mon 01 Jun 2020 12:02:20 AEST ]]> Nursing student attitudes to people labelled with 'mental illness' and consumer participation: a survey-based analysis of findings and psychometric properties /manager/Repository/uon:36637 Fri 19 Jun 2020 12:00:42 AEST ]]> Exploring Online Mentorship as a Potential Strategy to Enhance Postgraduate Mental Health Nursing Education through Online Delivery: A Review of the Literature /manager/Repository/uon:49474 Fri 17 Nov 2023 12:01:02 AEDT ]]> “Making It Happen”: Supporting the Implementation of Positions for Experts by Experience in Mental Health Education /manager/Repository/uon:53563 Fri 08 Dec 2023 15:31:58 AEDT ]]> The impact of Mental Health Nurse Consultants on the care of general hospital patients experiencing concurrent mental health conditions: An integrative literature review /manager/Repository/uon:50745 Fri 04 Aug 2023 08:33:02 AEST ]]> "It is much more real when it comes from them": the role of experts by experience in the integration of mental health nursing theory and practice /manager/Repository/uon:37925 Fri 02 Jul 2021 11:23:42 AEST ]]> 'It is always worth the extra effort': organizational structures and barriers to collaboration with consumers in mental health research: perspectives of non-consumer researcher allies /manager/Repository/uon:37924 Fri 02 Jul 2021 10:59:52 AEST ]]>
