- Description
- In these days, when many students appear to be disinterested in science, it is more than ever important that teachers are familiar with the techniques that can be used for motivation. This article identifies a number of motivational strategies that have been derived from current theories. Students can be motivated by success, novelty, choice, relevance, variety, collaboration, teacher enthusiasm, and encouragement. Examples of how these can be implemented in science classrooms are provided in order to address the question, "What is the best way to motivate students in science?".
