- Description
- The theatre practitioner Vsevolod Meyerhold is viewed as influential in theatre development, as well as being a specific topic of study in secondary and tertiary education. This paper reviews the current practice and role educational establishments of Australia play in engaging with and delivering the theories and ideas of Meyerhold and biomechanics. The paper will also introduce the potential footprints Meyerhold could offer as a model for educational application, being more than mere history. It also will explore the potential methodology as to how Meyerhold and his ideas can be explicitly applied in all levels of drama education from early childhood to post graduate research.
