- Description
- The author looks at how the relationship between the disciplines of film studies and literary studies might be further developed at the University of Newcastle, and suggests a few possibilities that may be worth pursuing in the future. Since the authors thinks that academic disciplines are institutional constructions, not Platonic ideas, he first considers why the study of film developed at the University of Newcastle, the special sort of relationship that it had from the beginning with literary study and the consequences of that relationship.
