- Dysphagia in infants and children is commonly the result of delayed global development or associated with chronic diseases, neuro-developmental disorders and frequently oral-motor dysfunction. Interest in the management of dysphagia in children has rapidly increased over the past decade and it is known that for optimal outcomes for the child and the family, an interdisciplinary approach is required.
