- At the 2009 ATEA Annual Conference, in Albury, The Association launched its first official history: Claiming a voice: The first thirty-five years of the Australian Teacher Education Association, which was prepared by Josephine May, Allyson Hollbrook, Alison Brown, Greg Preston and Bob Bessant, from the Centre for the Study of Research Training and Impact [SORTI] at the University of Newcastle. The study was commissioned by ATEA in 2006, and the launch included a speech by the lead author, Josephine May, who outlined the conceptual framework of the history.
