- Description
- This study examines 10 professional team sport website homepages in the Super 12 Rugby Union Football Competition (in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa) in order to determine the information content of the sites and to determine how the content relates to the elements of the marketing mix. The results indicate a 'Price' and 'Product' focus by the websites examined, which suggest that these team websites are failing to take full advantage of the Web's interactive capabilities. Furthermore, the website homepages were found to be 'Information-oriented', requiring a low-level degree of interaction by the user.
