- The biennial national conference of the Social Educators Association of Australia was held in Newcastle from the 20th to the 22nd January, 2008. And what did we learn? The theme of the conference was Making a Difference: multidimensional citizenship in a changing world. Papers embraced the themes of personal, cultural, spatial, temporal and social aspects of citizenship whilst including civics, environmental and values education.
