- Description
- Implementation of electric drive control inevitable involves a one-cycle delay, known as "transport", or implementation, delay. To address this issue, the current paper focuses on state feedback control with state and disturbance observers. Amongst other advantages, state feedback control allows for delay compensation using the system state prediction. To validate this strategy, both traditional PI control and state feedback control are implemented and compared by simulation. The paper shows that state feedback control offers superior performance to PI control, particularly, in the presence of implementation delays.
