- Our knowledge of uses of low-frequency ultrasound is still developing. However, convincing studies are required—methodologically adequate studies that probe the effectiveness of 40-kHz frequency ultrasound for wound healing and compare its relative contribution to that of the means of delivering the irrigating fluid.
