- In this paper, we present the exact relations that exist between the tracer and chemical diffusion coefficients that can be measured in interstitial and binary and ternary substitutional alloys. Within these relations are quantities (Haven Ratios and vacancy wind factors) that contain combinations of tracer and collective correlation factors. The significance of these quantities is discussed in detail with emphasis on recent findings.
