- The use of wearable technologies has recently expanded in our daily lives. Wearable health technologies aim to continuously transfer people’s physiological data to them and are thus assumed to increase the quality of health services in the clinical domain. Considering the importance of such technologies; the lack of focus on the factors influencing elderly people’s intentions to use wearable technologies, specifically in the context of developing countries such as Saudi Arabia; and the limited number of models used to evaluate these factors, the present research aims to contribute to a state-of-the-art study on wearable healthcare devices in Saudi Arabia. The researchers reviewed the related literature (N = 2,877 published documents) in nine databases through four levels: identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion. To provide a comprehensive review of research and approaches, they employed inclusion and exclusion criteria to scrutinize the themes and topics addressed in the literature on wearable healthcare devices among elderly persons in Saudi Arabia between 2010 and 2020. This research should be of interest to practitioners, researchers, decision-makers, and policymakers in Saudi Arabia who wish to understand the importance of wearable health technologies at both the individual and organizational levels.
