- Description
- Citation indexing and impact factors remain a mixed blessing when assessing the quality of tropical medicine research and their associated periodicals. Nevertheless, as we enter the XXI century the future of citiation analysis in tropical medicine, as everywhere else in science, is difficult to predict. Despite the existence of high quality journals for example, some scholars reported that qualitative information was still lacking and few results of studies performed in tropical countries had been published by the late XX century, particularly regarding occupational health.
