- Description
- This study analyzes political ties between subsidiary managers and local government officials in Jiangsu Province between 2000 and 2008. We test whether post-2000 subsidiary political ties, or the practice of guanxi, impacted on subsidiary performance. Our results show a significant, but contingent impact of political ties on subsidiary performance when subsidiary autonomy and restructuring were both high.
