- Description
- This paper proposes an encrypted observer-based control paradigm for enhancement of cybersecurity in networked control systems. The proposed paradigm exploits a semi-homomorphic encryption technique which enables the required computation to be done over encrypted data without any need for decryption at controller and observer levels. This improves the privacy of sensitive information such as command and sensor measurement signals. We study the challenges involved with the implementation of the proposed strategy and establish the conditions on system parameters to guarantee the stability of the closed-loop system. Some simulations experiments are performed on the Tennessee-Eastman process to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
