- Description
- An instrumental variable (IV) solution for wideband frequency-domain identification is developed in this paper. One of the most successful IV approaches for time-domain data is known as the simple refined IV method for continuous-time model. The purpose of this paper is to present a numerically reliable simplified refined IV method able to identify (highly) resonant systems over a large bandwidth, from frequency-domain data. The proposed solution is to couple the iterative scheme of the IV approach with frequency localizing basis functions. To illustrate the performance of the proposed approach, a representative Monte Carlo simulation along with two experimental cases is presented.
