- Description
- Some aspects of addiction can be described as the steps of a process. However, addiction is the behavior of a complex system and so it should be described with a systemic approach. The ASMA project is a systemic approach of addiction modelling based on simulation of the interactions of agents and objects. The simulation model example shows the struggle between a gamer and modern slot machines in a casino and it shows how addicted people fall in the trap of the gaming addiction that is ranked as a non-substance addiction. The emotion simulation model of the player is based on a fuzzy vectorial space: an extension of the fuzzy logic of Zadeh. This approach avoids fuzzi cation/defuzzi cation steps and directly implements fuzzy vectors that easily allows time modeling of the emotion evolutions.
