- Description
- After an introduction to the properties of prolate spheroidal wavefunctions and schemes for their computation, we investigate their role in the sampling theory of bandlimited signals. We then give a result on the ℓ²-energy of the tail of sequences generated by their uniform samples, and as a corollary, a local approximate sampling formula for bandlimited functions which are well-concentrated on an interval.
