- Description
- The project “Scoping novel rural mental health clinical placements for undergraduate nursing and social work students in Northern NSW” commenced in July 2015 through the support of grant funding provided by the Hunter and Coast Interdisciplinary Clinical Training Network (HCICTN). The project aimed to investigate rural mental health placements for nursing and social work students in Northern NSW with scoping conducted for the development of potential new mental health placement providers located in the rural community setting. The research was conducted from the auspices of the University of Newcastle's Department of Rural Health in Tamworth, with the research team comprising academics from UNE and UON. The study was completed in November 2015 with final recommendations defined to shape the future development of community-based rural mental health placements.
