- Description
- The chapter is based on the kernel of my doctoral work, in the form of a case study, partly auto-ethnographic in that it captures my own flight from persecution to immigrant status in several parts of the world. It also includes reports on interviews with women detainees who provide insight into their own and others’ attitudes towards Muslim women moving from oppressive to Western societies, and the accompanying pressures and challenges.
