- Description
- “In the absence of light, darkness prevails” – Buddhist quote. Light and its effects have a major role in the creation of and the way in which we see and place each of the different environments. Light and the effects of light have been the source of fascination and study, not only in the Art world, but also in the world of Science, Religion and Cultures for centuries. My research aims to observe and record light, be it colour, reflection or refraction or situations, in various environments and locations that provoke and inspire the study of the effects of light by means of drawing and painting and using a range of art materials. Through careful observation and recording the aim of this research is to visually represent a selected range of environments and locations using colour, reflection or refraction of light and its effects.
