- The enthalpy of CO₂ absorption into a selection of different amine systems has been calculated, based on the measured enthalpy values and calculated CO₂ dissolution values. The results are in good agreement with measured values as reported in the literature. Individual reaction contributions to the enthalpy of absorption have been calculated for 30 mass % MEA and 30 mass % MDEA, yielding information that is essential to the efficient and effective development of improved amine systems for CO₂ capture.
