Chronic treatment of combination of genistein (10 mg/kg) and amitriptyline (5 mg/kg and 10 mg/kg) significantly reduced the immobility time as compared to control group (p<0.001) and was comparable to amitriptyline alone (10 mg/kg). However, no changes in anti-immobility activity in combination of subeffective doses of genistein (5 mg/kg) and amitriptyline (5 mg/kg) were observed. Genistein at its standard dose (10 mg/kg) rendered synergistic effects in combination with subeffective dose of amitriptyline (5 mg/kg) and additive effects in combination with therapeutic dose of amitriptyline (10 mg/kg).]]> Wed 11 Apr 2018 17:08:37 AEST ]]> The lived experience of lupus flares: features, triggers, and management in an Australian female cohort https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:19222 Wed 11 Apr 2018 16:57:54 AEST ]]> Purity and enrichment of laser-microdissected midbrain dopamine neurons https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:14341 Wed 11 Apr 2018 16:06:08 AEST ]]> Gratings in structured optical fibres https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:4370 Wed 11 Apr 2018 15:36:34 AEST ]]> Epidemiology and etiology of young stroke https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:14369 Wed 11 Apr 2018 15:26:38 AEST ]]> Association between participation in outpatient cardiac rehabilitation and self-reported receipt of lifestyle advice from a healthcare provider: results of a population based cross-sectional survey https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:11154 Wed 11 Apr 2018 15:11:56 AEST ]]> Nanotechnology for energy and environment https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:20923 Wed 11 Apr 2018 14:53:59 AEST ]]> Diet quality, measured by fruit and vegetable intake, predicts weight change in young women. https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:13781 0.05). In the fully adjusted model, those who were in the top tertile of the ARFS significantly gained lower weight gain compared with the lower tertile for the plausible TEI sub-sample (β = -1.6 kg (95% CI: -2.67 to -0.56), P = 0.003). In the fully adjustment model, young women were classified in the highest FAVI tertile and gained significantly less weight than those in the lowest tertile for the plausible TEI (β = -1.6 kg (95% CI: -2.4 to -0.3) P = 0.01). In conclusion, overall diet quality measured by the ARFS and the frequency and variety of fruit and vegetable consumption may predict long-term weight gain in young women. Therefore, health promotion programs encouraging frequent consumption of a wide variety of fruits and vegetables are warranted.]]> Wed 11 Apr 2018 14:30:11 AEST ]]> Effects of periodic task-specific test feedback on physical performance in older adults undertaking band-based resistance exercise https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:20447 Wed 11 Apr 2018 13:59:30 AEST ]]> Developmental profiles of mucosal immunity in pre-school children https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:11048 Wed 11 Apr 2018 13:03:39 AEST ]]> On estimating the linear-by-linear parameter for ordinal log-linear models: a computational study https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:15347 Wed 11 Apr 2018 12:25:54 AEST ]]> Molecular characterization of lipopolysaccharide binding to human α-1-acid glycoprotein https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:17083 a, Rd and Re rough LPS mutants. The SAR analysis enabled by the binding data suggested that, in addition to the important role played by the lipid A and core components of LPS, it is predominately the unique species- and strain-specific carbohydrate structure of the O-antigen polysaccharide that largely determines the binding affinity for AGP. Together, these data are consistent with the role of AGP in the binding and transport of LPS in plasma during acute-phase inflammatory responses to invading Gram-negative bacteria.]]> Wed 11 Apr 2018 11:39:50 AEST ]]> Dynamics of a continued fraction of Ramanujan with random coefficients https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:12979 Wed 11 Apr 2018 11:06:53 AEST ]]> Population-based estimates of physical activity for adults with type 2 diabetes: a cautionary tale of potential confounding by weight status https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:15484 Wed 11 Apr 2018 11:00:11 AEST ]]> Five years of acute stroke unit care: comparing ASU and Non-ASU admissions and allied health involvement https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:14085 Wed 11 Apr 2018 10:59:41 AEST ]]> Influence of age, past smoking, and disease severity on TLR2, neutrophilic inflammation, and MMP-9 levels in COPD https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:13988 Wed 11 Apr 2018 10:50:22 AEST ]]> Color enhancement in endoscopic images using adaptive sigmoid function and space variant color reproduction https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:28085 Wed 11 Apr 2018 10:23:54 AEST ]]> The ipsilesional upper limb can be affected following stroke https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:15802 Wed 11 Apr 2018 10:11:52 AEST ]]> The architecture of risk for type 2 diabetes: understanding Asia in the context of global findings https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:15464 Wed 10 Jul 2019 15:19:19 AEST ]]> Neutrophil lymphocyte ratio and cardiovascular disease risk: a systematic review and meta-analysis https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:34942 Wed 09 Feb 2022 15:56:55 AEDT ]]> Deep assessment: a novel framework for improving the care of people with very advanced Alzheimer's disease https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:25973 Wed 04 Sep 2019 10:40:09 AEST ]]> Methylation of promoter regions of genes of the human intrauterine renin angiotensin system and their expression https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:26759 Tue 24 Apr 2018 15:35:25 AEST ]]> Electronic structure of the CuCl₂ (100) surface: a DFT first-principle study https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:20877 Tue 16 Oct 2018 12:09:00 AEDT ]]> Crack characteristic and permeability change of compacted clay liners with different liquid limits under dry-wet cycles https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:34866 50. The size of the representative elementary volume (REV) of cracked CCL decreases linearly with the increase in soil LL when LL < 50. The linear fitting result is REV = 90.5 – 1.6 LL, whereas REV change is inconspicuous with a mean value of approximately 10 cm when LL > 50. The sample size of the CCLs for the permeability test must be larger than REV. Before and after three dry-wet cycles, the permeability ratio (K₃/k₀) initially increases and eventually decreases as soil LL increases, and LL at the peak value of K₃/k₀ is 36.1%. However, linear relationships exist between permeability D-value (K₃ − k₀) and soil LL in a semilog coordinate system when LL < 50%, whereas the change in the permeability D-value is inconspicuous with a mean value of approximately 1.67 × 10⁻⁸ cm/s when LL > 50%. The volume and mean width of unclosed cracks are two main factors that determine the increase in permeability after dry-wet cycles. After three dry-wet cycles, these factors decrease as soil LL increases, thereby reducing the permeability D-value.]]> Tue 03 Sep 2019 18:02:06 AEST ]]> Protocol variations and six-minute walk test performance in stroke survivors: a systematic review with meta-analysis https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:23877 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:13:41 AEDT ]]> Effects of light intensity activity on CVD risk factors: a systematic review of intervention studies https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:22691 Mon 11 Mar 2019 12:13:39 AEDT ]]> A computational study assessing maximum likelihood and noniterative methods for estimating the linear-by-linear parameter for ordinal log-linear models https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:15344 Fri 23 Mar 2018 16:03:05 AEDT ]]> Spatial and Temporal Trends in the Timing of Budburst for Australian Wine Regions https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:49827 Fri 02 Jun 2023 16:14:27 AEST ]]>
