Qualitative feedback corroborated findings: Greg reported generalization of therapeutic gains, Aaron reported increased self-awareness but nominal generalization. Conclusion: Feasibility and limited efficacy outcomes established ‘proof of concept’ of SIFT IT. Findings will inform the study protocol for a larger randomized-controlled trial.]]> Wed 23 Nov 2022 13:50:21 AEDT ]]> Visual perception and processing in children with 22q11.2 deletion syndrome: associations with social cognition measures of face identity and emotion recognition https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:30124 Wed 11 Apr 2018 17:22:19 AEST ]]> Detecting an intention to communicate: using ToMas to test Theory of Mind in people with schizophrenia and healthy controls https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:13402 Wed 11 Apr 2018 15:15:05 AEST ]]> Face emotion processing deficits in schizophrenia: identification and remediation utilising visual scanpath technology https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:12300 Wed 11 Apr 2018 15:00:56 AEST ]]> An fMRI study of facial emotion processing in children and adolescents with 22q11.2 deletion syndrome https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:27949 Wed 11 Apr 2018 12:00:29 AEST ]]> Adolescent performance on The Awareness of Social Inference Test: TASIT https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:24948 Wed 04 Sep 2019 10:31:10 AEST ]]> Assessing social cognition in people with a diagnosis of dementia: development of a novel screening test, the Brief Assessment of Social Skills (BASS-D) https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:37371 Tue 20 Oct 2020 14:31:08 AEDT ]]> Assessing social cognition in adults https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:43073 Tue 13 Sep 2022 11:37:32 AEST ]]> Naturalistic stimuli in neuroscience: critically acclaimed https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:46884 Tue 06 Dec 2022 08:46:22 AEDT ]]> Assessment and rehabilitation of social cognition impairment after brain injury: surveying practices of clinicians https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:30940 insight, disinhibition, anger and social adjustment. The least routinely assessed areas were theory of mind and alexithymia. The test suggested most likely to identify social cognition impairments was The Awareness of Social Inference Test, although only 8% of clinicians responded to this question. Clinicians preferred informal assessment methods over standardised assessment methods for identifying social cognition rehabilitation goals. Higher levels of education were associated with greater use of standardised assessment modalities. Whilst there was paucity of responses overall, TBI Express was most commonly used for social cognition rehabilitation. Conclusions: Considering the high prevalence of social cognition impairments in this population, formal assessment is extremely limited. The under-utilisation of assessment tools is problematic for the assessment and rehabilitation initiatives offered to people with TBI. These results have implications for the training of clinicians working in brain injury rehabilitation.]]> Tue 03 Sep 2019 18:26:53 AEST ]]> Domains and measures of social cognition in acquired brain injury: A scoping review https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:46930 Thu 08 Dec 2022 11:24:51 AEDT ]]> Referential delusions of communication and interpretations of gestures https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:5378 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:43:55 AEDT ]]> Shared storybook reading in the preschool setting and considerations for young children's theory of mind development https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:29113 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:36:55 AEDT ]]> Changing people's views of outgroups through individual-to-group generalisation: meta-analytic reviews and theoretical considerations https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:29558 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:33:11 AEDT ]]> Social cognition dysfunction in adolescents with 22q11.2 deletion syndrome (velo-cardio-facial syndrome): relationship with executive functioning and social competence/functioning https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:27451 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:32:46 AEDT ]]> Empathising and systemising in high anxiety states: an investigation of anxiety as a mechanism for divergence in cognitive performance https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:31980 Mon 23 Sep 2019 14:06:19 AEST ]]> A survey of clinicians working in brain injury rehabilitation: are social cognition impairments on the radar? https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:25684 Mon 23 Sep 2019 11:52:37 AEST ]]> Avoidant personality disorder: current insights https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:47591 Mon 23 Jan 2023 14:49:38 AEDT ]]> Calling on clinicians to get social and emotional https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:47385 Mon 16 Jan 2023 15:24:44 AEDT ]]> Social and affective neuroscience: An Australian perspective https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:40594 Fri 15 Jul 2022 11:14:14 AEST ]]> Normal adult and adolescent performance on TASIT-S, a short version of The Assessment of Social Inference Test https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:33165 Fri 07 Sep 2018 16:40:10 AEST ]]> Theorizing social ideations: beyond the divide between humanities and social sciences https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:18275 Fri 07 Sep 2018 15:19:57 AEST ]]>
