The least routinely assessed areas were theory of mind and alexithymia. The test suggested most likely to identify social cognition impairments was The Awareness of Social Inference Test, although only 8% of clinicians responded to this question. Clinicians preferred informal assessment methods over standardised assessment methods for identifying social cognition rehabilitation goals. Higher levels of education were associated with greater use of standardised assessment modalities. Whilst there was paucity of responses overall, TBI Express was most commonly used for social cognition rehabilitation. Conclusions: Considering the high prevalence of social cognition impairments in this population, formal assessment is extremely limited. The under-utilisation of assessment tools is problematic for the assessment and rehabilitation initiatives offered to people with TBI. These results have implications for the training of clinicians working in brain injury rehabilitation.]]> Tue 03 Sep 2019 18:26:53 AEST ]]> START-online: acceptability and feasibility of an online intervention for carers of people living with dementia https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:45236 Thu 27 Oct 2022 13:45:44 AEDT ]]> Adaptation and feasibility of START online, a multicomponent intervention for Australian carers of people with dementia: a pilot randomised controlled trial https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:54812 Thu 14 Mar 2024 14:31:38 AEDT ]]> Song-write you way to wellbeing: Six-week Pilot Study of an Online Program for Older Adults https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:50918 Thu 10 Aug 2023 18:25:55 AEST ]]> Domains and measures of social cognition in acquired brain injury: A scoping review https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:46930 Thu 08 Dec 2022 11:24:51 AEDT ]]> Clinical simulation in Australia and New Zealand: through the lens of an advisory group https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:20879 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:57:58 AEDT ]]> All alone with sweaty palms — physiological arousal and ostracism https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:32916 Mon 23 Sep 2019 12:53:17 AEST ]]> A survey of clinicians working in brain injury rehabilitation: are social cognition impairments on the radar? https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:25684 Mon 23 Sep 2019 11:52:37 AEST ]]> The psychological effects of ostracism following traumatic brain injury https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:32918 Mon 23 Sep 2019 11:42:36 AEST ]]> Ostracism and physiological arousal following traumatic brain injury https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:30908 Mon 23 Sep 2019 11:39:39 AEST ]]> Music and the Brain across the Lifespan https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:49536 Mon 22 May 2023 08:38:13 AEST ]]> Calling on clinicians to get social and emotional https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:47385 Mon 16 Jan 2023 15:24:44 AEDT ]]> Social and affective neuroscience: An Australian perspective https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:40594 Fri 15 Jul 2022 11:14:14 AEST ]]> Widening Participation in Creative Activities for Older Adults: A Report on a Symposium Held in Australia https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:53667 Fri 15 Dec 2023 11:06:23 AEDT ]]> Normal adult and adolescent performance on TASIT-S, a short version of The Assessment of Social Inference Test https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:33165 Fri 07 Sep 2018 16:40:10 AEST ]]>
