In order to study the various methodologies for agent design, a comprehensive classification scheme is required. This paper identifies the key aspects of software agents, then provides an overview of existing ontologies, and combines the best aspects of these schemes to propose a new all-inclusive classification scheme. In order to illustrate the classifications, the JACK Intelligent Agents architecture is described in the context of the scheme. 2012-04-02T00:37:00.451Z ]]> An event algebra based system for verifying E-Commerce transactions http://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/uon:627 This paper describes extensions to a Behavioural Description Language (BDL), which was originally proposed to characterize concurrent behaviour of simple objects and a group of objects. One of the novelties of this paper is its application to the field of E-Commerce transaction systems. Based on the BDL, we propose new concepts, namely, transaction patterns and transaction architectures, which have event-based semantics to describe large-scale transaction systems. Furthermore, the transaction architecture is introduced as a unified medium. for specifying and verifying distributed, heterogeneous and complex E-Commerce transaction processes. It is also illustrated as a powerful modeling technique which is easy-to-use, flexible and promotes reusability. 2010-04-27T05:41:21.466Z ]]>
