- My interest is the relationship between truth and fable in the work of Alain Badiou. More specifically, I am fascinated by two problems that Badiou's work raises in relation to fable: first, what is the place of fable for the Left, especially in light of the profound suspicion that fable and its related terms - such as myth - conjure up, suspicion specifically of mystification and religion? And second, is fable posterior to the (political) event, trying to make sense of it, preserve it, provide a basis for fidelity to the event, or does fable also have a virtual power in producing the event itself?
