Description: The article analyzes the dimensions of social integration of children of prisoners among the first settlers in New South Wales in Australia focusing on the work of these children. The limited information available makes it difficult to research this subject, even if the information collected by the historians tend to prove the difficult status of children of prisoners in the eighteenth century and their role in the labor market.
