This chapter deals with arguably the information that is of most interest to beginning teachers - how to manage students' behaviour in the classroom and in teaching-learning contexts. These other contexts would include an early childhood setting, the school playground, a football or hockey field, or even a school social situation. In this chapter, I distinguish between and discuss behaviour that we might call "troublesome" and behaviour that is of considerable concern to parents, teachers and other education professionals.
