Description: This nuts and bolts session outlines collaboration between School of Education academics and the University Counselling Service. A new online resource was developed for commencing students. The “First Year Student’s Guide to University Study” offers a framework for engaging students to reflect on their personal, social and academic journeys as they prepare, belong, learn and succeed during first semester. The facilitators will describe the development and structure of the guide and share resource materials. Participants are invited to consider the contribution of the psycho-social journey to student success and the relevance of the guide to their own setting.
