NOVA is the University of Newcastle's institutional digital repository. This service is available to assist with central storage, management and access to research and research related outputs and resources of the University of Newcastle, its staff, students and affiliates.
A major feature of the repository is its ability to promote the research of our University by making our content accessible, searchable and discoverable by the global research community. Where possible we will endeavour to make available a full-text publication or research related output, in-line with the appropriate copyright permissions and the copyright owner as relevant to each work.
Material included in the repository should be of a research or scholarly nature. This includes digital copies of:
Other formats of material may be acceptable. Contact the NOVA Repository Manager <firstname.lastname@example.org> for further inquiries.
The deposit of material into NOVA does not transfer copyright to the University of Newcastle. Inclusion, use and access of full-text material in the repository is subject to copyright law and agreement with the publisher or copyright owner.
The following conditions for full-text access apply:
Where the deposit of the full material is not possible due to copyright restrictions, a citation, abstract and descriptive information including a link to an alternative location such as to the publisher's version of the material may be added to NOVA.
Currently, content in NOVA and any accompanying full-text text that has been made available will be accessible by the global research community via the Internet.
Repository staff, in the University Library, will in conjunction with the University's Copyright Officer assist you by determining the copyright conditions of any material you may wish to deposit into NOVA.
